The Xweather Protect Web Relay Add-on option is only available for certain subscriptions. This enables an add-on option to connect protected asset alerts for real-time lightning to an on-site edge device called a web relay, specifically the Control By Web X-410 and the X-310 devices. A web relay allows for real-time connection from the Xweather Protect lightning alerts to trigger on-site flashing lights and audible siren to notify outdoor personnel.
When one or multiple web relays are configured with a protected asset, the connection status of the web relay(s) can be viewed by users with both admin and user role types.
To view the web relay connection status:
Select Map at the top navigation on the left.
Expand the list on the top left to show the protected assets.
Hover the cursor over the green or red web relay status icon next to the name of the protected asset.
If only one web relay is configured to the protected asset, the status will show 1/1 if the device is currently connected, and 0/1 if the device is disconnected.
If there are multiple web relays configured to the protected asset, using 2 as an example, the flashing light icon will display 2/2 if both devices are connected, ½ if one of the devices is disconnected, or 0/2 if both devices are disconnected.
While the cursor is hovering over the light icon next to the protect asset, a tooltip to the right side appears with the mac address(es) of the web relay device(s) configured, the connection status of each device, as well as the time of the last status change (according to the user preference time zone) for each device configured to the protected asset.
