Viewing measurement alerts

The map, measurement table, and graph views all display measurement alerts. On the map, devices with active alerts are highlighted with a red outline around their icon. In the table, alerting measurements are shown with a red cell. In the graph, alerts appear as a horizontal red line at the bottom. In all views, the red color indicates that a value has exceeded its alert threshold.

To see the threshold, place your cursor on the red area over the arrow icon.

  1. Select a device that has alerts.
In the graph view, a red line below the graph (ALERTS) indicates the period when the alert is active.

  2. Adding or deleting an alert is reflected in the table and graph view. For example, when an alert is removed, the red line is removed from the UI.

  3. Note also that different time scales in the graph view affect whether an alert is shown or not. For example, when having measurements received every one minute and selecting the 1-hour or 6-hour time scale, the measurements are not averaged, but when selecting the 24-hour, 7-day, or 1-month time scale, the instant and mean measurement values are averaged, affecting whether the value reaches the set threshold limit or not.

If a measurement with a value beyond the threshold arrives more than 15 minutes late, alert notifications are not sent.
